Set in the heart of the stunning Perthshire countryside, Logiealmond Shoot is part of the famous Mansfield Estate, home to Scone Palace, the ancient crowning place of the King of Scots, including Macbeth and Robert the Bruce.
Sitting just on the fringes of Highland Perthshire, Logiealmond Shoot is only a few miles from the City of Perth in central Scotland.
John Cruickshanks of Scone Game Sporting is Shoot Tenant and Keeper on Logiealmond, where he puts over 30 years of experience of running his own shoot to good use.
Logiealmond has over 25 drives within the 6,000 acres of mixed mature woodland, gorges, glens and steep river banks. Small driven days are offered with an average of 80 – 100 birds, larger driven days are also available with larger bags of up to 400+ birds.
With over 2000 acres of rough shooting ground, traditional walked up days for teams of guns can also be arranged.
On driven days, exceptionally high partridges are driven over the fringes of the hills and the old slate quarry, whilst high pheasants and mixed game soar over the gorges and glens, providing great variety, drive to drive.
Logiealmond is a well kept shoot, where the beaters and the pickers up are highly efficient and friendly. No amount of clichés can express how good the birds are at Logie.
What you do need to know is that they fly hard and they fly fast. The variety of sport, be it a soaring cock bird over the famous Logie Den or the kinking of a hen through Drumharrow is testament to the hard work and dedication of John.
John is on hand at each and every shoot, to make sure your and your guests have a relaxed and informal day, whilst ensuring a memorable shooting experience for all.
